    How do I order the right prescriptions?

    The most effective way to get the right prescription is to contact your local optometrist and obtain your official prescription. With this you can fill out the prescription fields after selecting your preferred frame and color OR you can upload the official prescription and immediately check out. 

    If there are any issues with your given prescription, our Hyper Optometrist Team will contact you via email to fill any gaps of information so we can make you the best pair of Accolade armed glasses!

    What if I need help with filling in my prescription?

    You may either check out with the order first and our team will contact you within one business day. 

    Otherwise, you may contact us via email or WhatsApp at +65 8022 1111 and our Optometrists would be happy to help you.

    I wish to have my prescription assessed first before ordering. Do you have a store where I can check my prescription?

    For overseas customers, we advise you to have your eyes seen by your local optometrist, then provide us with your official prescription and pupillary distance (PD).

    I need progressive lenses, how much more will they cost?

    Depending your prescription, the price may vary due to the index of the lenses. Generally, they can cost anywhere from $200 and above. We advise that for progressive lenses, it will be best to enquire in-store directly with our Optometrists.

    Blue Light

    What is blue light?

    Blue light is part of the visible light spectrum, and is defined as visible light ranging from 380 to 500 nm. Blue light sometimes is further broken down into blue-violet light (380 to 450 nm) and blue-turquoise light (450 to 500 nm). There are generally two different types of blue light: the natural blue light of the sun and artificial blue light e.g. emitted by LED lamps, energy-saving lights as well as smartphone and computer displays.

    Blue light is very important in regulating circadian rhythm, and exposure to blue light during daytime hours helps to maintain a healthy circadian rhythm. However, too much blue light late at night (usage of phones and computers at night) can disrupt the circadian rhythm, potentially causing sleepless nights, daytime fatigue and even serious health problems.

    Research has shown that lenses that block high-energy blue light in the 400-450 nm wavelength range increase contrast significantly. Therefore, blue light glasses that filter blue-violet light in this range may reduce eye strain— especially if you use digital devices for extended periods of time.

    What is digital eye strain?

    Digital eye strain (DES), also commonly referred to as computer vision syndrome (CVS), encompasses both ocular and visual symptoms of headaches, blurred vision, dry or burning eyes caused by prolonged use of digital devices. It has been suggested to be prevalent among 50% or more among computer users.

    Quoting from Zeiss Singapore, tablets, smartphones and computers all emit a disproportionate amount of blue light, which can cause intraocular effects such as scatter and longitudinal chromatic aberration.

    Can blue light cause damage to our eyes?

    Exposure to blue light in the 400-500 nm can be harmful to the retina, especially in excessive doses, with peak light damage occurring around 440 nm. However, recent research suggests that the low levels of blue light from digital screens are not enough to represent a biohazard, even after long-term viewing (Sheppard & Wolffsohn, 2018).

    However, light exposure is a factor involved in setting circadian rhythms, and exposure to blue light (including digital devices) before bedtime can disrupt sleep patterns, and the usage of blue light blocking spectacles in the evening have been found to improve sleep duration and quality, and reduce subjective alertness before bed (Sheppard & Wolffsohn, 2018).

    What are Hyper Accolade Lenses?

    Hyper Accolade Blue Lenses are our proprietary blue light blocking lenses that offer greater protection and functionality.

    Standard blue lenses in the market only block up to UV400. Hyper Accolade Blue Lenses, on the other hand, is supported by the latest lens technology and block up to UV420, filtering more potentially harmful blue light in the blue-violet wavelength between 380 to 500nm.

    What are the main benefits of Hyper Accolade Lenses?

    2. Other “UV420nm” lenses that also offer higher protection only come in clear reflection. We went a step beyond that and added a slight tint that makes computer screens feel easier on the eyes, with lesser glare. It also helps to increase the contrast of targets while gaming, giving you a great visual experience.

    4. Our lenses are UV420, which offers 100% UVA & UVB protection and up to 40% blue light protection. Blue light is known to disrupt sleep, and blue light protection has been proven to help with sleep issues at night.

      Light in the 400-420nm part of the spectrum has also been thought to be particularly harmful due to their high energy nature, and our lenses help to filter a higher range of blue light compared to standard UV400 lenses.

    5. Anti-Reflective
    6. Our lenses come with an anti-reflective (AR) coating that helps reduce internal light scattering, reflections and increase overall transmissibility of light for improved clarity. Furthermore, this anti-reflection comes with a subtle blue residual reflection, ensuring that wearers do not get annoyed by irritating reflections while enhancing appearances during virtual meetings or streaming.

    Where is the difference between HYPER Accolade Lenses and other more generic blue light blocking lenses?

    Hyper’s Accolade UV420 lenses offers 20% more blue light protections across the blue light spectrum compared to regular blue light lenses.

    Additionally, the lenses are clear when seeing through them, making colors more vibrant and natural as compared to the “yellowish” hue that you often get when seeing through regular blue light lenses.

    We will not accept any item(s) without the attached form.

    The prescription on my new glasses does not seem suitable for me. Can I have a re-check and replacement of the lenses if necessary?

    For prescription-related issues, we will accommodate a 30-day (from date of purchase) lens adaptation period for a one-time lens replacement.

    I need help adjusting my frames. Is there somewhere I can go to for help?

    Yes, you may go to either one of our branches at:
    Plaza Singapura, SingPost or Junction 10.

    I have accidentally broken my frame, will there be warranty for this?

    The warranty does not cover for damage to the frame or lenses, including scratches or breakage due to mishandling.

    What does Hyper’s Warranty include?

    We provide One year warranty for both the frame and lenses!

    This covers the following:


    Frames:

    • Any manufacturing defects (E.g. frame peel, discoloration, temple tips, loose screws)
    • As well as any of the following adjustments that the customer needs:
      • Nosepad adjustment
      • Nosepad replacement
      • Screw replacement
      • Frame adjustments

    Lenses: 

    • Any peeling related issues

    We can’t replace them if the following applies to your glasses:

    • Damaged deliberately or through neglect
    • Improper or careless use
    • Normal wear and tear

    What is the cost of Shipping?

    Free Shipping for all orders to Singapore.
    Southeast Asia, Canada, UK, USA and Australia costs will vary — please input your preferred address in the checkout process to calculate your shipping. 

    Where do we ship to?

    Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), Canada, UK, USA and Australia. 

    How long will it take for my Hyper Eyewear to arrive?

    Singapore: 3-7 business days*
    Southeast Asia: 7-20 business days*
    Rest of the world: 20-30 business days*
    *Business days are Mondays to Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are not considered business days.

    Shipping timings may vary depending on the circumstances. Please allow for a week of buffer if your item is not arrived within the stipulated shipping times. You may use the tracking information within your order to track your package.

    Why are there possible delays?

    With international orders, there may be delays when your package arrives at the destination country/origin. This being that they may be subject to customs clearance procedures.

    What carrier does Hyper use?

    Our preferred shipping carrier is DHL.

    What happens if you refuse a shipment?

    If this occurs, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, any import fees that are incurred and the cost of returning the package to Hyper. If there is a refund in process concerning this package, it will be deducted from your refund total. 

    Exchanges, Returns & Refunds

    On what occasion do we allow refunds?

    Hyper does not allow refunds but we do accommodate return of products for credit. This credit will expire after one year from the date credited to your account.

    On what grounds can I lodge an exchange or refund?

    If your item(s) meet all our warranty requirements OR are within the 30-day Adjustment Period — we will provide exchanges. We do not provide refunds but offer credit of the same dollar amount to your account that does not expire.

    How do I process an exchange or return?

    For both options, postage or visiting a partner location, you will need to fill out a ‘Exchange & Returns Form’ to accompany your item(s) of concern. Unfortunately, without this we cannot process your request. 

    You can acquire the ‘Exchange & Returns Form’ by logging into your account and selecting the order that contains your item(s) of concern. There, you will see the option to ‘Lodge Exchange & Returns’. Fill this out accordingly and print the form which will have your necessary information included. 

    How do I organize postage for the exchange/return?

    We recommend using a postage carrier that allows tracking as to minimize issues. Hyper will not cover any postage costs. 

    If you would like to use DHL, you can use their portal here and schedule a pick up.

    What is the processing time?

    If your package is received within our 30-day policy, we will process that claim within 5 business days. You will be notified accordingly through email.

    Gift cards are available for purchase in preset dollar amounts.

    How is the gift card received?

    The email given will be sent a Hyper Gift Card that will/can be accompanied with a personalized message to their inbox. Attached will be a unique number for them to enter into the Gift Card field at the checkout process.
